Still Looking for Trouble - Unsold

This painting has been donated to the RAF Benevolent Fund on behalf of the artist and the Guild of Aviation Artists. The formal presentation and handover took place on the evening of 16 July 12 at the Mall Galleries, London where the RAFBF held a fund raising Reception. Air Marshal Chris Nickols, the new Controller of the Fund accepted the painting which will be auctioned at the RAFBF Gala Dinner to be held at Wembly Stadium on 20 Sep 12.

The scene depicts Spitfire Mk VIIc MV154 Registration G-BKMI ZX-M. Built at Supermarine’s Southampton works and delivered to 6MU in September 1944, MV154 served with the Royal Australian Air Force. Acquired by Robs Lamplough in 1979, she was returned to the UK and returned to the air in May 1994. Currently based in Bristol, MV154 can still be seen in the UK circuit bearing the designation MT928 and the markings of 145 Sqn (Mediterranean Theatre) flown by Sqn Ldr G McKay.  

A 500 litho limited edition print has now been published and is available for purchase. The image size is 45 x 25.5 cm (10″ x 18″) and each print is signed and numbered by the artist. The price is £25 which includes a certificate, postage and packaging.
