The scene in late January 1991 at Tabuk, Saudi Arabia shows two Tornado GR1 aircraft, each loaded with five 100 lb freefall bombs. The aircraft on the right is FK (Foxy Killer) ZA465 which arrived at Tabuk on 4 January 1991 and completed two JP233, 28 free-fall and 19 laser-guided bombing missions. It released a total of four JP233 containers, 158 1,000lb free-fall bombs and 35 1,200lb LGBs for a record total of 100 tons of ordnance dropped.

The original painting was exhibited at the 1991 Armed Forces Art Society annual exhibition in Chelsea and won the Society’s prize which was presented to Graham by Gen Sir Peter De la Billiere.
