Private commission. The scene depicts a Waco glider being towed by a C-47  Skytrain crossing Pointe Du Hoc on the Normandy coast. The setting is the evening of the D Day invasion on June 6, 1944. Omaha beach is to the left and Utah beach to the ridght of Pointe d’Hoc and both are where landings were made by USA forces.
